The main application of fiberglass continuous mat

Fiberglass continuous mat is a kind of glass fiber mat, which is also widely use to FRP lines, the main application is as follows:

1, pultruded profiles. Because of the pultrusion and pultrusion products are produced by closed mold, without environmental pollution, good dimensional stability, no leftover waste, etc., it is a fiberglass molding method and fiberglass products with broad prospects for development. But there is a biggest drawback for pultruded product, that has a high radial strength, small hoop strength, easy to crack. Application of continuous felt as hoop reinforcing material to make up for its shortcomings, therefore, continuous mat is an indispensable reinforcement for pultruded profiles.

2, RTMVI process. Because continuous mat with high adhesive strength, fluffy porosity, moderate permeability of resin and good erosion resistance performance, fiberglass chopped strand mat is widely used in the RTM process to produce the glass fiber reinforced plastic doors and windows, wind turbines base and other accessories.

3, automotive interior parts. Continuous mat is mainly used for sun visors, rear decorative panels, spare tire cover and fenders. Because of the high strength, good decorative effect, it has been widely used to the Mercedes-Benz, BMW and other models.

        4, dry-type transformers. Dry-type transformers main application is same to glass fiber chopped strand mat, but the strength of continuous mat is higher than chopped mat, on the requirements of the occasion and the product must be used fiberglass continuous mat. Many domestic dry-type transformer manufacturers are using continuous mat.
